Troubleshooting and FAQ
Most snags have a one-line fix. Find your situation below. If something here doesn't solve it, the answer is almost always "sign out and back in, then try once more."
I didn't get an email (invite, reset, or coach link)
Our emails come from [email protected]. First, check your spam or promotions folder and mark it "not spam" so future ones arrive cleanly. Emails can take a couple of minutes. If it still hasn't come, you can safely trigger it again — request the password reset once more, or re-send the household invite from Settings.
I forgot my password
On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password? and enter your email. We'll send a reset link that works for one hour and one use. For your security, the message looks the same whether or not an account exists, and resetting your password signs out every other device. The reset itself opens in your web browser, even if you started in the app.
My work sample won't upload
Work samples must be photos — JPEG, PNG, HEIC, WebP, or GIF. PDFs and other file types aren't accepted for safety reasons, so if you have a PDF, take a screenshot of it and upload that instead. If a photo stalls, it's usually a weak connection; try again on Wi-Fi.
Pandisha says I've hit my AI limit
Every family gets a set number of free AI generations each month on the house key — plans, briefs, suggestions, and so on. When you reach it, you'll see a "quota exceeded" note. To lift the limit entirely, add your own AI key (Anthropic, OpenAI, or Gemini — the free tiers work) in Settings, under AI Provider. With your own key, generations are unlimited and the monthly cap disappears.
Google Drive won't connect
Open Settings, under Google Drive and connect (or reconnect) your account. Pandisha only ever sees the files it creates for you — it can't read the rest of your Drive. To choose the exact folder your school shared with you, use the folder picker under School Submissions; look under "Shared with me." If a connection ever looks stale, disconnect and reconnect — it takes a few seconds.
My coach (or charter HST) can't see our work
For privacy, a coach can only see your family after they accept a connection. When you add their email under School Submissions, we email them a link to confirm it's really them. Until they click it, they see nothing. Two things to check: that you entered the exact email your coach signs in with, and that they've opened the acceptance email (it may be in spam). Re-saving the coach email sends a fresh link.
My dashboard looks empty or didn't load
Pull to refresh, or tap Retry if you see a notice. A blank dashboard right after signing up is normal — it fills in as you log your first activities and set a goal. If numbers still look wrong, sign out and back in to refresh your session.
I got sent to a setup or assessment screen
The first time you sign in, Pandisha asks a few quick questions to tailor itself to how you homeschool. It's short, and it only happens once. Answer honestly — it changes the tone and emphasis of your plans and briefs, not what you're allowed to do.
My flier or vendor list didn't read correctly
Pandisha reads PDFs and photos with AI, and clearer files read better. For a flier, a straight-on, well-lit photo or the original PDF works best; events without a visible date are skipped rather than guessed. For a vendor list, a text-based PDF or a CSV reads most completely — a low-resolution scan can miss rows. You can always re-upload a cleaner copy, remove any stray entries by hand, or add one yourself.
Something still isn't right
Sign out, sign back in, and try the action once more — this clears the large majority of glitches. If a problem persists, note exactly what you tapped and what you saw; that's the fastest path to a fix.
