Your path: brand new to homeschooling
Welcome. Starting to homeschool can feel like standing at the bottom of a mountain. The good news: you do not have to do it all, and you do not have to do it perfectly. Pandisha will quietly keep the records while you find your feet.
Your first week
- Just log what you already do. You're doing more teaching than you think — a trip to the store is math, a bedtime story is language arts. Log a couple of things a day and watch it add up. Start with Logging your day.
- Learn what your state actually asks for. Requirements vary a lot, and most are gentler than people fear. Read Compliance, explained and check your state so you can relax about the rules.
- Keep a few work samples. A photo here and there of your child's work builds a portfolio without any effort. See Work Samples.
- Try a weekly plan when you're ready. No pressure — but when you'd like a starting structure, Pandisha can draft a balanced week around your child's interests, and you make it your own.
A word of reassurance
You are not behind. There is no single right way. The record you keep is for your peace of mind first, and everything else second.
When a word is unfamiliar — LP, portfolio, HST — the glossary has plain-English definitions. And if you ever get stuck, troubleshooting and FAQ is one click away.
